Andrew Chang
In 2024, Andrew Chang founded Sure Statistics to provide statistics education to middle school students in Harlem. Several community centers throughout the neighborhood took interest in his initiative, including the Manhattanville Community Center. He created a standard middle school statistics curriculum to amplify impact, sharing it with volunteers and community center instructors. He directs communications, manages projects, and oversees the organization as a whole. His work empowers students with an understanding of the numbers around them, and encourages them to not just accept what they are given, but to challenge what they know to be true.
Jake Reilly
Jake Reilly is also a co-founder of Sure Statistics, primarily contributing to the organization’s community service, outreach, and growth strategy. Driven by a passion to connect with his community and make data education more inclusive, Jake has helped lead workshops at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School and the Manhattanville Community Center, bringing statistics to life for students through hands-on learning and mentorship. His leadership reflects Sure Statistics’ mission: to empower students through numbers and show how data can drive real-world understanding and change.
Ian Cheung
Ian Cheung is a co-founder of the organization, overseeing the forecasting team and forecasting development. He has led the team to the Grand Prize in Forecasting the Future and has competed in competitions such as the Wharton Statistics Tournament. He is proficient in multiple coding languages, including Python and R, and has deep knowledge of statistical analytics. Leading the team is a great honor for him, and his competitive spirit is an encapsulation of the organization as a whole.
Kiki Gilbert
Kiran Gilbert is a co-founder of Sure Statistics, where he leads efforts in community outreach and social impact. With a deep commitment to service, Kiran helped expand the organization’s presence through partnerships and public engagement initiatives aimed at empowering underserved communities. Kiran is passionate about combining civic engagement with strategic thinking to create lasting change.
